Reflection on a Dream of Mine

Oh the way, the way of men,
to bend and break, to turn and mend,
to fasten, catch, trap and take,
to sell your wares, a penny make.
Manly is the urge to till,
to force Creation, purse to fill,
to cut the fruit, to rob the tree,
to peddle produce, seldom free.
And though our God designed us so,
and gave the gold, the rod, the bow,
there is wisdom to be found,
in sitting still to yet be found.
